WebThere is a small strip of private land that runs into the south boundary of Wells Gray for approximately 20 kms. This land was privately owned before the area became a provincial park, hence the strange arrangement. It is in this thin slice of private land that the TRU education centre is located, giving the feeling of being in Wells Gray itself. WebWells Gray’s insect fauna doubtless numbers in the several thousands, though virtually nothing is known about the status of any except the most conspicuous groups. One group that has received some attention is the dragonflies, order Odonata. Thus far (1988), 27 species have been found, though another 20 species are expected to occur.
