Oocyte electrophysiology
WebElectrophysiology Xenopus laevis oocytes were injected with complementary RNAs (cRNAs) encoding OzTrac-MSL10-34 that were transcribed from linearized pOO2-GW-OzTrac-MSL10-34 plasmid. Each oocyte was injected with approximately 50 ng of cRNA. WebOocytes from the Xenopus laevis represent one of the most widely used expression systems for functional characterization of ion channels. Their large size facilitates both injection of heterologous cRNA and subsequent electrophysiological recordings of ion channel currents.
